Environmental monitoring plan stepped up
 
Following yesterday’s incident at its effluent treatment plant, SOCATRI (Tricastin) has stepped up its environmental monitoring in association with the local authorities and the Nuclear Safety Authority.
 
Under normal circumstances, there are 140 sampling points on and around the Tricastin site. As soon as it became aware of the incident, SOCATRI increased the number of sampling points to the south of the site.
 
The table below gives the results of the samples taken at the additional representative monitoring points.
